Given my prior knowledge of what a pharmacy assistant’s job can entail, I feel that my skills and experience make me an excellent candidate.
Three years of supermarket experience has given me many transferable skills which are valued in employees of almost any type of business, including customer service and till operation. Handling customer queries, receiving and unloading deliveries, and perfecting a professional phone manner are all things I’ve been doing since I was seventeen.
I have no problems using a computer and can type quickly, having been computer literate since a very young age. New programs don’t faze me; I have recently taught myself how to use completely unknown software without having instructions.
The aseptic preparation of medicines, should that be one of the necessary duties, will not prove challenging, having a background in food preparation means that adhering to hygienic work practices comes easily, as does following detailed instructions. I can
My academic achievements, especially in mathematics and science, demonstrate my attention to detail and methodical approach to problem solving. The A Level in Biology which I am currently studying in my own time shows my genuine interest in the human body and how it works and my willingness to continue learning.
Certificates from my time at school are a testament to my attendance, punctuality and exemplary attitude, this coupled with my qualifications, communication skills and open, friendly demeanour lead me to believe that I am more than capable of performing any task which the position might require and that I could be an asset to the company.
